Sustainable strategy

A dual role as operator and investor

Compagnie Chargeurs Invest is asserting its hybrid model as an operator of global champions in industry and services, and as an investor committed to a culture of active management of its portfolio of businesses.

A vocation as an operator and developer of global champions in industry and services

For over 150 years, Compagnie Chargeurs Invest has distinguished itself by its expertise in building global champions. Today, it operates and develops a portfolio of 5 international champions with unique expertise.

A vocation as a long-term investor with a culture of active management of business line portfolios

Drawing on its new capital structure, with a long-term family and institutional controlling shareholder base, Compagnie Chargeurs Invest is strengthening its role as an investor committed to active management of its portfolio of businesses. It adopts a tailor-made approach to define the means of remaining the best development shareholder in each business.

Our objective

Accelerate the creation of sustainable value, drawing on our proven expertise as a builder of global champions and our vocation as a long-term investor with a culture of active portfolio management.

Active, long-term management of our asset portfolio

Compagnie Chargeurs Invest uses an internal strategic and asset analysis matrix to manage and optimise the value creation and impact of its asset portfolio. Compagnie Chargeurs Invest adopts a differentiated approach to sustainable value creation for each of its assets.

The strategic and asset analysis matrix is based on 10 criteria:

A tailor-made approach to sustainable development and value creation

Based on the strategic and asset analysis matrix, Compagnie Chargeurs Invest adopts a tailor-made approach to support and create sustainable value, by defining the means to remain the best shareholder-developer in each business.

For each business, different paths to sustainable development and value creation are envisaged. Environmental, social and governance issues are fully integrated into these different paths to strengthen and ensure the long-term performance and resilience of our businesses.

In-house development

Investment in our industrial facilities and targeted strategic acquisitions, such as those made to date, to develop and strengthen our expertise, geographies and business offerings.

Combined development

Contribution or merger of assets to accelerate development and strengthen the impact and positioning of the business.

This combined development will make it possible to hold assets of critical size with no short-term cash-out, particularly in markets subject to significant financial, extra-financial or regulatory constraints.

These mergers will result in the realisation of synergies and the materialisation of value through the exchange parity.

Arbitrage

Partial asset disposals may be considered to crystallise value creation, with a reallocation of the cash generated.

A CSR ambition in line with the strategic trajectory

Integrating environmental, social and governance issues into the heart of Compagnie Chargeurs Invest's business model is essential to ensure the Group's long-term performance and resilience.

For the new period 2025 - 2030, the strategy is based on three commitments and five priorities drawn up in line with the dual materiality analysis, and which are intended to be applied to all the business lines according to their specific characteristics.

Preserving the natural environment
