In an effort to improve the energy efficiency of its plants, a vast transformation plan for the Chargeurs PCC plant in Picardy was launched in 2023. The modernisation of equipment, the redefinition of production areas and the extensive monitoring of consumption are showing their first results in 2024, with a considerable reduction in gas and electricity consumption.

Illustration in our businesses

To limit water consumption, the Novacel SpA site in Italy has succeeded in reducing its water consumption per surface area produced by 39 % between 2020 and 2023. This performance can be attributed in particular to steam recovery and optimised water management in production.
