Denis Noharet, Chairman of Laini\u00e8re Sant\u00e9\u2122, looks back at the genesis and success of Laini\u00e8re Sant\u00e9\u2122, whose speed of development has broken the codes of entrepreneurship. In just a few days, the Group was able to reinvent its traditional activities to meet pressing health needs and give new impetus to its history.<\/p>\n

\"In the midst of the Covid-19 crisis, and under the impetus of Micha\u00ebl Fribourg, the R&D teams at the Chargeurs Fashion Technologies division, which specialises in interlining, began by developing technical textile complexes for particle filtration, enabling wearers to protect themselves effectively against contamination by the virus. From initial tests with 60-65% of filtration (of particles > 3\u00b5m), we managed to \"trap\" more than 99% (tests carried out by the laboratory of the Direction G\u00e9n\u00e9rale de l'Armement). Several million masks based on these textiles were assembled in Europe by our network of manufacturers.<\/p>\n

Under the same impetus, the teams sourcing<\/i> in Europe and Asia have stepped up their efforts and commitment to section, qualify and import from China several tens of millions of disposable masks (surgical and FFP2) for our customers in the public sector and large private companies.<\/p>\n

In response to global demand for high-quality products to meet long-term needs, the Group has set up automatic mask production machines at its sites in P\u00e9ronne, where Laini\u00e8re de Picardie is based, and S\u00e9lestat, where Senfa is located. These production lines will be capable of producing several million surgical and FFP2 masks a year. The same lines will also be installed in the United States, enabling the Group to further penetrate the American market. We have also decided to set up capacity in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

Because these industrial achievements have made our motivation all the stronger, our teams are now working on structuring offers with a tailored proposal for each market segment (general public, healthcare, construction, sports organisations, etc.). These offers cover not only a variety of products (masks, gowns, gloves, gels, etc.) but also a wealth of services (traceability, qualification and management of stocks, quality, availability, etc.). For example, Novacel is developing a range of products, Novacel Health, including hydroalcoholic gels for hand disinfection, antimicrobial films to prevent contamination through contact with surfaces, sanitary tunnels for disinfecting public spaces, and gel dispensers to prevent contact with hands.<\/p>\n

These actions, skilfully carried out in recent weeks, are proof of the Group's entrepreneurial DNA. Thanks to our investments and the modernisation of our production facilities, we are now ready to face up to a resurgence of the pandemic. Our partners and customers can count on us.<\/p>\n
