Michaël Fribourg founded the Groupe Familial Fribourg, the controlling shareholder of Colombus Holding, alongside long-term institutional investors and several French family offices.
Michaël Fribourg began his career in a ministerial office with Renaud Dutreil (2005-2006), then Minister for SMEs and Trade, before joining the Inspectorate General of Finance, where he carried out a number of advisory missions for the government and the French Presidency.
In 2011, he became special adviser to the Minister for Industry, Energy and the Digital Economy, and co-headed his cabinet. Michaël Fribourg is a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure, the IEP de Paris and the ENA (Willy Brandt class), and holds a DEA in philosophy and economics, as well as a master's degree in modern humanities. He was appointed a member of the General Inspectorate of Finance in 2009.
He is a lecturer at Sciences-Po Paris.
